Menthol Crystals — BP/USP Grade Exporter from India
Zentish Exim Pvt Ltd supplies natural Menthol Crystals of BP and USP pharmacopoeial grade to importers, manufacturers, and distributors across the United States. With ISO-certified production and consistent 99%+ purity, our menthol is sourced from India's established mint-producing belt in Uttar Pradesh — the same origin that supplies the majority of the world's natural L-menthol.
If you are sourcing menthol for pharmaceutical formulations, oral care manufacturing, or topical analgesic products and you need a supplier who understands documentation requirements, FDA-import-readiness, and batch consistency — this page covers everything you need to evaluate us.
Product Overview
Natural Menthol Crystals are derived from the steam distillation of Mentha arvensis (cornmint) oil, followed by controlled crystallization. The result is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a sharp, characteristic mint odor and an intense cooling sensation — properties that make it one of the most commercially versatile botanical ingredients traded globally.
India accounts for roughly 80% of the world's natural menthol supply. The crop concentration in districts like Barabanki, Lucknow, and Rampur creates a natural supply advantage that no other country has replicated at scale. That said, availability and pricing fluctuate with seasonal harvests, which is why buyers who have worked with us for multiple seasons understand the value of locking in forward supply agreements.
We supply menthol crystals under both BP (British Pharmacopoeia) and USP (United States Pharmacopeia) specifications. Both grades are tested for specific rotation, melting point, residue on ignition, sulphated ash, and heavy metals — and our Certificates of Analysis reflect the full pharmacopoeial panel.

Natural L-Menthol Crystals — Technical Data
Physical Properties
Menthol crystals are solid at room temperature but begin to soften around 35–36°C — which matters for packaging, transport logistics, and storage during summer months. During warm seasons, shipments to the USA may require insulated liner bags or temperature-controlled containers depending on the route. We flag this upfront because procurement managers who haven't ordered menthol in summer conditions have occasionally received partially fused product, and it is preventable with the right packaging spec.
The crystals are hygroscopic to a mild degree. In high-humidity environments, surface moisture can cause clumping. Properly sealed fiber drums with inner polyethylene liners prevent this entirely. Our standard packing already accounts for this.
